September saw the UK's largest ever single asset logistics deal by value. Legal & General forward purchased a 2.3m sq ft site, let to Amazon on a 20 year lease, at Panattoni’s Symmetry Park in Swindon for £202.0m, 4.20% NIY.
The next largest deal was Exeter Property Group’s £151.0m acquisition of the BAPF portfolio, comprising 1.3m sq ft of space across nine units. See overleaf for more key deals.
It looks set to be an even busier end to 2020, with a number of big-ticket disposals recently announced and major multi-let sales starting to come forward. In October, SEGRO purchased the super-prime urban logistics asset Electra Park in Canning Town, London for £133m, 30% above the initial asking price, reflecting a yield of 2.58%.
